This time I went out with Mugi

Just in case you were getting bored of Yui, this time, I took out Mugi for dinner.

We went to to this sushi place, Geisha Sushi it was called. Much to my disappointed there were no geisha around at all.

I’m not a fan of sushi or fish for the most part, so when I got out to sushi bars I got to make sure they serve other types of dishes.

Dishes such as this totally awesome looking New York Teriyaki steak.

Fun outing aside with my friends and Mugi, something else had my interest this past week.

I bought an iPhone, it’s nice to own a 21st phone and have all that connectivity. Although I do want to make an effort to not become engrossed with said connectivity. After all, the times when I left home is the few where I was not tied to down to the internets.

Funny comment about the above picture, when my friend saw it he said: “It looks like you got Mugi drunk!”

Back to the iPhone, I got a couple of questions for iPhone savvy people. Is there a way to remove the default apps? The other obvious question, what are some interesting or useful apps?

If you are curious as to what I got on my iPhone right now, you can take a look at this flickr set of mine.

With that said, time for me to take off an enjoy my Easter Sunday with my family.

  1. That steak makes me want some beef. +_+

And picture with the “It looks like you got Mugi drunk!” caption really looked liked one. XD

    • It was a really good steak, like real good. Totally makes me feel it was worth the price I payed for it… =_= to expensive going out.

Funny, it was totally not intended to be like that at all.

  2. Pretty sure there isn’t a way to remove the default apps, I just cram all the useless ones into a folder in the last screen.
As for the second question, well, you just asked one of my favorite questions, mwahaha
Evernote: its like Notes on steroids. Especially if you’re on a Windows machine and aren’t synching your notes. Btw, make sure you back up your contacts to Windows Contacts at least through iTunes. I lost all of Zai’s contacts because I didn’t check when I jailbroke, too used to everything being auto in Mac.
1Password: stores all your passwords securely. Can generate new secure passwords too. Can sync with Dropbox to store your encoded passwords in case something happens. Pretty much use this every day and best $12 I ever spent on the App Store
XE: Rate conversion, good for checking before sending figure payments to see the real damage
Pulse Mini News Reader: I attach my Google Reader to this, efficient way to read RSS feeds plus it caches them so if you go in a tunnel it won’t affect you too much.
Wordpress: you have a WordPress blog, you need this. I use it mainly for moderating and replying to comments. Found the edit/create post a little buggy in that if I tried to edit a post, it would destroy the formatting.
Air Video: If you want to watch anime/movies on your phone, it either on-the-fly converts or converts for iTunes sync your movies. No lag for on-the-fly over WiFi even for 1080p but it might depend on your PC.
WhatsApp: if your friends have iPhones/Android phones, they can get this app too and its basically free txt messaging.
Other fun free apps I have: Firefox Home, IMDB, Meebo, Photoshop Express, SketchBook X, myLite, SitOrSquat, DropBox, JapanGoggles
And finally Petey and Jaydee: Because that’s the app I made. Don’t need to buy any videos (I won’t see any of the monies, lol), but pleaseplease leave a rating.
I didn’t know they had SpeedTest for iPhone. Must get.

  3. Mugi is a pretty awesome figma. I really like her expressions. Second and last pic are my favorites.

A japanese sushi restaurant that serves french fries?! O_o
But now I’m hungry, as I should be since I haven’t had breakfast and it’s now close to lunch-time! I shall make french fries! :9

    • She is a fun figma, I really should stop taking Yui as my first choice when I go out.

Hey, I wont question it but fries + rice was too much for me. Next time one or the other.

      • I think it just simply doesn’t go together, is all. :|

Fries, mashed potatoes, potato salad, none of those go with rice.

  4. Hehe Im also no fan of fish or sushi, in my opinion they could stay in the water ^o^.
I like your lively pics of Mugi next to the food and drinks, the third one is my favorite closely followed by the fourth one ;)

  5. Haha, going to a Japanese restaurant to eat New York steak, that reminds me of my first night in Japan. My friends and I went out for dinner and went to an American-themed restaurant where we ordered “American” food.
