BRB going to Canada

So right now, we are in Japanada Canada.

Last weekend we made a trip to Canada for serious business.

We get to spend a lovely amount of time here in Canada. There is still another seven weeks or so left of our stay.

On the top of mine and exilehero’s agenda was meeting up with local celebrity Chag.

Here you can see his arm in the background.

Chag is a fun person, I found it highly amusing when he visibly looked uncomfortable when we took out the figures and starting snapping pictures.

Chag does have some issues with outside figure photography after all.

We had a quick bite to eat at a place called the Loose Moose before heading to our main attraction.

Our destination was the main attraction in Toronto the CN tower.

Once more were me and exilehero amused by Chag’s behavior. He might not have voiced it but I’m pretty sure he was thinking something along the lines of:

I can’t believe these people are taking pictures of figures out in the open.

When we got to the top it was already dark, we did get a nice view of Toronto illuminated by the city lights and traffic.

The CN tower is not too bad for the price, other big city attractions elsewhere are way more expensive for less.

It was a fun hanging out with Chag, it felt like we had known him forever and were just meeting up.

Fun memories of our trip to Canada, such a this picture of Chag’s defeat by DDR will forever stay with us.

I look forward to meeting up with Chag again in the upcoming seven weeks as well as anyone else that pops out and wants to hang out.

  1. LOL, that last photo is absolutely priceless. The SHAME, Kuroneko revels in my shame!

Anyhow, I’m glad you had fun. More fun can certain be arranged in the weeks to come! If nothing else, you’ll have plenty of fun watching my squirm uncomfortably in my chair as you bust out the figmas! =P

    • Ohoho, at least we didn’t post the video of you. But I don’t think you have anything to be ashamed about.

Just watching you squirm is enough fun for me! Looking forward to it.

      • It was a fun outing, i’m glad it didn’t end up coming down to some awkward silence.

Yes, I concur more squirming would be fun, although you might just become used to it. You are lucky the only thing I brought along were figmas.

  2. I’d be uncomfortable too… Hence I choose secluded areas of the lake park to snap my photos…

Boy… Those two really tamed some wild beasts. XD

And who or what is that biribiri of a sniper is sniping?…

    • Silly shy people, other than my constant fear of someone stealing my camera there really isn’t much to worry about if you ask me.

Indeed, some silly T-Rex is nothing against the power of tsundere!

Good question indeed, I will leave it to your imagination.

  3. cool that you could make a small meeting.
Haha, you two were just teasing the poor Chag :)

how many figmas have you two brought along for the long trip?

Nice and funny pictures btw ^^

    • Of course, after reading how he has a bit of trouble with taking pictures outside we just had to tease him a bit.

Between the two us we brought Kirino, Kuroneko, Biri Biri, Misaka-imouto, Haruhi and Mr. T-Rex. Although, after looking around how I wish I had brought some scaled figures or my dollfie. There is just an excess of awesome places to take photos at.

  4. What an epic defeat… *laughs*

Well sure you’ve enjoyed all of it, except Chag felt a loss at near end… :P
I loved how the figmas traveled with you guys… Great work! o/

    • It was more epic than you could imagine, sigh if only I had gotten that cry when he failed the first song in video.

It’s more fun that way, rather than simply storing the figmas on our luggage or something.

    • I like it so far, not too bad. Luckily enough we will never find out if there really has harsh winters or not since we are going back right before the fall ends.

    • Yes, sadly enough I confined to the Toronto area. Unless I payed out of my own pocket to go to the Vancouver area.

You know, how I wish I had brought Nanoha with me, this place is so nice, so many times I wish I could take Nanoha out for some pictures.

    • It’s pretty neat, I must say I like Canada so far.

Indeed, such a shame I ended up on the other side far away from a lot of you guys.

  5. Oh wow! Welcome to Canada! See? It’s not all dogsleds and igloos, eh? (see what I did there?)

Seems that Nopy and I are on the same side of the country. :)

Come visit Vancouver! Chun and I will take you out! (right, Chun?)

Be sure to have some Tim Horton’s donuts, and eat at Swiss Chalet, have some Poutine fries, and have some maple syrup with your pancakes, because it’s the Canadian thing to do.

    • No comment there…

Hmm… I wonder if I will ever get the chance to visit the Vancouver side, may be if I save a couple of paychecks I might drop on the way back. Really doubtful though since I’m here for work.

Tim Horton’s? What is that never seen one of those around here in Canada…

We tried some of the local delicacies such as a poutine already, will give the others a whirl too.

  6. That’s so cool that you got to meet up with another blogger who enjoys the same things :) Also, never been to Canada and I know a few people I’d be visiting if I had the opportunity to do so. I like the rainy window shots and the last one of Kuroneko and Chag XD

    • It is, it’s something I been craving for the longest time. That’s why I’m so jealous of the people that get to meet regularly. Glad you like the pictures, Chag mere presence made it more enjoyable for me and exilehero to take them.
